Differences in communication styles
Extrovert’s version of a “discussion”: 30 minutes of debate
Introvert’s version of the same “discussion”: 5 minutes of debate, 25 minutes of rehashing the first 5 minutes

Do you mean the introvert’s and extrovert’s differing perceptions of the same conversation? Or do you mean two different styles of handling a discussion?
What I meant was two different ways of handling a discussion.
An extrovert wants to think out loud, so talks an issue through for what seems to be forever.
To an introvert, that same conversation feels like the extrovert is talking the issue through for the first five minutes and the next twenty-five minutes feels like the extrovert is rubbing salt into the wound. Of course, the extroverts would be shocked to hear that analysis; to them, they’re just talking things through, and feel stifled if they can’t run their mouths unfettered.
